The 2007 Lota is composed of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot aged for 15 months in 100% new French oak followed by 2-3 years of bottle aging prior to release. Purple in color, it offers up a superb aromatic array of pain grille, pencil lead, exotic spices, violets, incense, and assorted black fruits. This sets the stage for an elegantly styled, savory, ripe wine with enough structure to evolve for another 3-4 years.
