The 1992 Pinot Noir Elizabeth's Reserve could turn out to be Adelsheim's best Pinot of all, although it is more restrained aromatically and comes across as slightly more structured and tannic. Shy and reticent at first, this dark ruby-colored, rich wine opens in the glass to reveal impressive levels of black-cherry fruit buttressed by decent acidity and wood. Exhibiting more tannin than the other Adelsheim offerings, it is a candidate for a decade of cellaring.There are some exciting new Pinot Noirs emerging from Adelsheim.
