Michelle & Dr. Loosen, the 2018 Eroica Riesling displays a pale straw color and a classic Riesling nose with soft petrol aromas and hints of green apple skin, white peach and lime candy. Medium-bodied, the wine is lively on the palate with juicy, succulent acidity that makes me salivate, and it shows a kiss of sweetness to lift the expression, ending with a fresh, vibrant finish. Another success, this bottling stands as a testament that Washington State Riesling can be made well, even at the $20 mark.

The 2017 Riesling Eroica wafts from the glass with classic Riesling notes of green apple, pineapple, limes, peach with citrus blossoms and a soft nuance of petrol. The wine is medium-bodied and clean on the palate, showing good acidity and freshness, with just a kiss of sweetness and a lingering finish. There were 12,500 cases made.

The 2016 Riesling Eroica is a great success, offering up a fragrant but elegantly understated bouquet of peaches, white cherries, lychee and citrus blossom. On the palate, it's light to medium-bodied, off-dry and stony, with mouthwatering acids and refreshing spritz. For the price, it's hard to beat.
