Honeyed citrus and lightly floral overtones appear on the nose of the 2019 Condrieu la Galopine. While full-bodied and plush, this isn't the strongest effort from Delas in recent years, although it does have a nicely silky mouthfeel and a lingering finish.

No longer hugely floral, the 2018 Condrieu la Galopine is a ripe apricot and tropical fruit-scented offering. Medium to full-bodied, with an appealing roundness on the mid-palate that's complemented by a bright, citrusy streak and hints of white pepper on the finish, it's an appealing wine to drink over the next year or two.

The medium-bodied 2017 Condrieu la Galopine features understated floral aromas, plus notes of white pepper, green apple and lime. Zesty and peppery on the palate, it picks up vibrant citrus notes on the brisk finish. Drink it over the next few years.

Not the most aromatic wine of the appellation, the 2016 Condrieu la Galopine relies instead on texture and charm. This medium-bodied wine was partly barrel fermented, and there is a vague sensation of roasted nuts, although apricots and melons dominate the palate before fading quickly into peppery-gingery spice on the finish.
